Pre-baby # 2!

Even though I am well into my third trimester at this point, I am still coaching a few clients off of my blog here and in person.  A conversation I had with one of them has inspired this simple, yet hopefully helpful post.

There are simple changes we can make to our diets and lifestyles today that significantly impact our health and wellness. What often stops us from progressing and sticking a healthier lifestyle is not lack of information, but rather, information overload. And this can leave us feeling stuck.

So while you may not be ready to change everything under the moon about your diet and lifestyle today, start with these simple, yet impactful changes to jump start your health and you WILL see positive changes!

OK. Let’s get started. :)

4 Things to Cut Out of Your Diet Today for Weight Loss:

1) Soda. Juice. (Anything but water, tea, or coffee.)

Just let it go–especially soda. It’s empty, sugary calories and will surely block your gains. And if you’re wondering about alcohol–try to limit alcohol consumption to one or two glasses of RED wine a week (red wine has antioxidants–yippee!)

2) Fast Food.

I’ve been there. You’re starving and you’re stuck in traffic. So, you pull over at the nearest Wendy’s. And then you cringe afterwards because you had just promised yourself earlier that week you’d commit to a healthier lifestyle. Plan ahead by keeping snacks with you, meal prepping, and avoid allowing yourself to get to the “ravenously hungry” phase.

3) Coffee Creamer.

Empty calories. And if you’re an avid coffee drinker, these daily additional 40 (or more) calories per serving can really add up. Try to switch to black coffee. Can’t do that yet? Then try almond milk with agave. ;)

 4) White Flour Anything

White flour tortillas. White bread. White hamburger buns…Soooo 1980. Let white flour go–it converts to sugar when digested and typically goes straight to the stomach area.

There you have it. 4 things to let go of today to increase your gains :) .

As always, thank you for liking, sharing, and subscribing!

Let’s make it an amazing week,

 #TonedupTuesday
