Healthy Summer Time Smoothie

smoothie-pix-1It’s filled with fruits, vegetables and apple cider vinegar to help with weight loss, and lowing cholesterol.  America as we know has a very high obesity rate and now is the time to begin reducing those large numbers.

Here’ s how! If you need to purchase a blender there are ones for around 10$ at places such as Wal-Mart. This particular model is $10 bucks in the store and strangely $19.99 on Walmart.com.

smoothie-pix-4NEVER think that your health is a class status, you and your family including  the little ones can enjoy the benefits of a healthy drink. Similar to the way me and my family does in the Virgin Islands! Let’s get started! Raspberries 1oz Blueberries 1oz  Kale 1oz Carrots 1oz Cinnamon pinch  Apple cider vinegar 2 tablespoons  Sweeter (optional. Sugar,honey, agave nectar can all be used) 3 tablespoons. (We used the Rival personal  blender because it’s inexpensive and convenient for travel purposes for places such as the gym and work. It also has a one touch operation system.)

1) place all the ingredients in the blender. A few ice cubes can to provide a chilled smoothie.

2) add 1/2  cups of water.

3) blend to desired texture. Pour into a Glass and enjoy.

smoothie-pix-3The kale is high in iron, calcium, vitamin A and K. It is also a detox food and helps protect the body from different cancers. These are just few wonderful ways kale feeds your body the nutrients it craves. Different versions of this smoothie can be created of course! Tell us which one is your favorite in the comments.
